About Me

Hello, I'm Melissa! My handsome husband, Tanner, and I currently live in Katy, Texas, but we won't be here too long since Tanner is in the Navy (reservist for now as he finishes nursing school). Our goal is to travel the world with our daughters, Jade and Kira, and embrace every city the Navy decides to have us call home.

Photography has been a love of mine ever since I was a little kid and that blossomed into a passion once I realized I wanted to be able to photograph my own family one day. I am a self-taught natural light photographer and I strive for images that are bright, colorful, and timeless.

My favorite part of doing a photo session is getting to know my client better. To help you get to know me better, here's a list of some of the things I love!

• Cosplay - My husband and I are members of the 501st Legion and we dress up in Star Wars costumes for charity! My current costumes include a Biker Scout, Jawa, and custom Mandalorian. My husband has a Stormtrooper, Death Trooper, and custom Mandalorian.
• Star Wars - Our house is filled with Star Wars, our wedding was Star Wars themed, and we named our daughter after one of my favorite characters (Mara Jade). We're a little obsessed...
• Harry Potter - I'm a Gryffindor all the way! We went to London for our honeymoon and I was in heaven visiting the Harry Potter spots!
• Desserts - I am known for my sweet tooth.
• Board games - There's nothing better than a game night with friends. My favorite game is Telestrations!
• Halloween - Candy, costumes, and haunted houses. Need I say more?
